Strix's Notes

Well, today we found out part of what the Scarlet Circle was planning with the orc tribes. The orcs broke a hole through the south wall and raided the city. I don’t want to think about how many people died…. I’m just glad we were able to do our part to help stop them. We nearly died again, and I nearly lost Artyom. I’m almost crying just thinking about it, so I’d like to put it out of my mind. A young woman going by the name of Emerald Redstone saved our lives. She is a sorcerer like Nilkas, and seems to be avoiding her father. I can’t help but wonder what she was doing here, or if our paths will cross again. But more importantly I can’t help but wonder if the raid was just a distraction for something else the Circle was planning….

Strix added a room to her farm for me and now I am writing this. Deciding to better myself for Strix to learn some diplomatic skills and to stop rushing headlong into fights unless fights are planned or we are attacked first. Found a wordsmith named Andor. Bit of a boaster, something about saving the world. But damn is he a good storyteller and talker.

So much for learning the diplomatic approach. Orcs attacked and the old me came out. At least this was to defend townspeople and not for my own benefit. Got knocked out, again. Was helped by an Emerald Redstone. A fellow sorcerer who seems to not tell us her real name. Not that I care too much about the lying, with sorcerers hated and some even disappearing I understand the secrecy. Hope to see her again though. I owe her an ale and I’m sure she needs help. She seemed happy to have some company.
