Strix's Notes

Jade attempted to console us, so now we’re off to find the lair of the dragon that she killed. We could use the extra coin, after all.

The dragon lair was a mess, even the whelps were vicious. Claimed its hoard for ourselves though, with Jade’s help, and somehow ended up at our friend Dave. Unraveled a few of his secrets it seems, and stayed the night there in the woods. Haven’t slept that well in a long while.

Emerald told us of an unlooted dragon hoard. Did some shopping to prepare and set off. Of course the dragon had its own young to defend their home. Got hurt again but wasn’t as bad. Probably could’ve coordinated better. Maybe a magical item could help with flying opponents. Something to look into. Looted the place for all it was worth. Left the cave to a familiar clearing but not the one we left. We approached Dave again. After furthering my magical training with a certain bard I learned a charm to detect magic. Noticed flying bits of illusion. Asked for another mead and it still worked. Wondered what else Dave could do. Threw 10 gold into the pond and asked for some lodging for the night. Next thing we know we are sleeping in the forest under mushrooms for the night. Meditated under rage before I slept. Shouldn’t do this normally in the wilderness but I feel that we are safe here.

Returned to Kaeldorei, and talked to Krea again. She gave us information on Lief when I first reached this town. Asked her to check on what the Baron was doing.
