    So what's been going on?

    Scarlet Circle

    The Scarlet Circle is back in Kaledorei, Lucien Vanko wants some info, and he's pissed
    He brought two mercenaries from his former group with him, an archer and a /monk(?)

    He's going to be meeting with Nathaniel Fawkesmoore in the coming days, he'd been to the wiped out camp of The Pruushnak Clan, and wasn't happy with what he saw

    He needs help dealing with Kosj-Sjerit-Valignat-Vorel.

    • Asking for help from Nathaniel, figuring out that the guards aren't on his side after the pay cuts
    • going to be looking elsewhere.. adventurer's guild maybe [?]

      • maybe he wants information from them in exchange for money

    He sent the archer out to the area to see what had been happening, and the archer took a shot at the party.

    Their recent discovery has them on edge

    The players also kindly killed the [Magma Elementals] that were causing expansion problems

    • this will allow them to expand the city, or their mining operations further
      • more resources, or more space
      • perhaps some special resource

    what have they learned about the Scarlet Circle in the meantime?

    what are they willing to share with the party?

    how have they progressed with the assassination plot?

    • give the party a hint that the Torch is doing stuff behind their backs

    how have any of their characters changed since the genocide?

    Jade

    • need to practice Welsh
    • she's back in town again?
      • she needs to escape something back home, maybe she wants to talk about it now that she trusts the party more
        • needs to get away from her dad, he's complacent while things could be better
        • annoyed by one of the advisors, maybe?
          • probably the religious advisor, she doesn't seem to get along with them all that well
    • how is she managing her powers
      • maybe she almost let them slip somewhere... or on someone, in a public place
        • what happened?
        • she needs to cool off
      • her dad knows about them, but its probably a well-kept secret
    • maybe she's heard about something or somewhere cool that they could go explore?

    • or maybe its an improvement in tech?
      • what is their tech, anyway?
    • or maybe its a new location, which affords them much more information

    Tarawn Military

    • need to know a lot more about them before they can progress

    Nathaniel

    • needs artisans, woodcutters, forges, some sorts of magicians, permission from the capital
      • people to schmooze
      • raw materials are going to be in shorter supply
        • new building developments and other things needing metal and wood would be more limited
      • needing to run meetings and dinners to host other nobility to curry favor with them
      • engineers to actually design the thing
        • either from the capital or from 'foreign lands'

    There needs to be some combat this session to keep them from getting tooo bored

    Actual Session Prep

    The players are in the old messaging tower near Tucker Mine, and need to get back to Kaledorei before things with Nathaniel Fawkesmoore can really get going.

    • maybe come across a scrying sensor sent by Thynnon?

    Torch

    They know the Scarlet Circle is back in town

    • How much do they tell the players?

    The gate and Tuner has been moved deeper into the cave

    • party can see the gate, told the Tuner has been moved to a more central location

    Freyja, Calder, and Harlow in the main room of the hideout

    • Nathaniel Fawkesmoore has been inviting nobility (mostly from Cenorias) recently
      • Dinner parties, that sort of thing
      • Its not abnormal for the elites to rub shoulders, but this is a lot
    • Staffing problems among the guards
      • Its pretty noticeable in town
      • Even though there weren't a ton of guards before, we're seeing fewer and fewer out and about

    Bo is in Cenorias on mission

    Need 3 w/ differing opinions and knowledge

    • he was supposed to get a new sword and armor, his was damaged in the orc attack
    • another was let go recently because he wouldn't take the pay cut

    Fawkesmoore Manor

    Another guard here, reading a book and barely looks up at them when they ask if they have an appt.

    • its a book on the politics of the region
      • there's another book inside that one, which is a kinky romance novel about two kunoichi
    • will stop them though if they try to pass without saying anything
    • what happened to this guy?
      • I mean, he's basically a glorified receptionist, that can't be what he signed up for
      • he had the option of either losing his job entirely, or being moved here for reduced pay, and maybe getting to be a guard again one day
