A very small group, primarily founded by the religious sector of Tarawn, but hide their true motives behind lofty goals like reforming the government and eliminating corruption by enforcing a completely democratic process.
In reality, they just want to put their own leader on the throne, and plan to do that in any way necessary, including assassinating the King.
Members
- Freyja
- Harlow (M) - Right Hand Halfling
- Description:Â Standing 3'4" (tall for a halfling, you know), this man is wearing a long, blue, dusty cloak. His auburn hair is thinning but still full. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
- Personality:Â A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.
- History:Â He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
- Motivation:Â His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
- Ideals: Philantrophist. Flaws: Antagonistic, Secretive. Bonds: Adventurer, Religious, Family. Occupation: Cartwright

- Astrid (F) - Medic Human
- Description:Â A stocky darker skinned woman, she is armored in painted platemail with gilded edges. A flowing black cape and mantle trimmed with soft pastel waves gently in the breeze. Her red hair is matted, messy, and big. Her eyes are hazel and beady, and occasionally a little glassy.
- Personality:Â She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
- History:Â Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

- Voice:Â Speaks with squeezed throat
- Calder (M) - Enforcer Half Orc
- Description:Â A physically imposing lighter-skinned man with a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. His earthy cloak doesn't do much to hide his banded leather armor, and does nothing to hide the large axe on his back. The bowl cut doesn't do much to tie the look together, but it tries.
- Personality:Â He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.
- History:Â From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Relations
They have very few enemies due to their relative secrecy, mostly limited to rival factions of the church who oppose this kind of takeover.
They've formed some small alliances with an assassins' guild, as well as a diviner or two, though they're not especially powerful.
They possess a lot of magic, both items and divine casters to use them, and have a decent amount of blackmail material, which is the primary reason their opponents in the church don't speak out.
Leadership
The figurehead leader is a war veteran who speaks of better times, before trade with the elves was necessary, but understands that this is the way things are now.
The real leader is the head of the church #todo, who wants to put himself in power.
Joining
In order to join the group, the party will need to carry out a task, most likely related to the Scarlet Circle or whatever business caught the group's eye initially. #todo
After joining, the party will be given more and more involved tasks, some including veterans of the Torch, and there will be some hints dropped that the ultimate goal is to kill the King, though unless they meet up with the head of the church, most of the hints will be circumstantial at best.
